Arthrospira Research

Arthrospira or Spirulina has a long history of use in a wide variety of applications such as food for human and animal, and as a host cell for producing high value molecules. Our group focuses on using both molecular and computational techniques to gain new insights into the biology of this very promising organism. In 2012, we release the genome sequence of Arthrospira platensis C1 and continue to make use of this data together with the publicly available information to improve our efficiency in using this microalgae. Arthrospira Research Group
